Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add a new snippet?
Tap the + button in Caddy to add a new snippet. Type or paste the text you want to save, then confirm. Your new item appears in the list and its frequency count starts at 1.
Why isn't my item showing up?
Make sure you have added the item via the + button. Items must be manually added to your library — Caddy does not automatically capture your clipboard.
How does syncing work?
On iOS, Caddy syncs via your personal iCloud account. No extra account or sign-in is needed beyond your existing Apple ID. Your snippets sync automatically across your iPhones and iPads. On Android, Caddy syncs via your personal Google Drive account — no extra sign-in needed beyond your existing Google account.
Is my snippet data shared with Elmeris?
No. Your snippets never leave your device or your own cloud account. Elmeris has no servers that receive your data. See the full Privacy Policy for details.
How do I pin an item?
Long-press any item to open the edit panel, then toggle the Pin option. Pinned items always appear at the very top of your list, above frequency-sorted items.
How do I add a label or color?
Long-press any item to open the edit panel. From there you can assign a color from the palette and type a short label to remind yourself what the snippet is for.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On iOS: go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions, find Caddy, and tap Cancel Subscription. On Android: open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, find Caddy, and tap Cancel. You can cancel any time and retain access until the end of the current billing period.
How do I restore a previous purchase?
Open Caddy, navigate to the Subscribe screen, and tap "Restore Purchases." Your prior subscription will be recognized by the App Store or Google Play.
How do I delete all my data?
Delete the Caddy app from your device to remove all locally stored data. To remove synced data, delete the Caddy folder from your iCloud Drive or Google Drive through your platform's settings.
